Golden Wheat Baking Co. — Packaging System Redesign

A packaging redesign across a 14-product regional bakery line — a coherent shelf-legible system built to solve a real, specific problem: a grocery partner's own buyers reporting that customers couldn't tell the products apart at a glance.

The project

Golden Wheat's existing packaging had grown product-by-product over several years with no shared system, and their largest regional grocery partner flagged during a buyer review that shoppers were struggling to quickly distinguish between similar products on shelf — a real, specific, business-relevant problem rather than an abstract aesthetic complaint. The redesign built a consistent color-coding and typographic system across all 14 SKUs so a shopper could identify the right product from several feet away, while keeping enough per-product distinction that the line still felt like a real product range rather than interchangeable variants.

Delivered as production-ready packaging files across all 14 SKUs, a shelf-mockup review deck for the grocery partner presentation, and updated brand guidelines covering the new packaging system.
